Mesmerizing is right, it almost putting me in a trance like state, Feral is such an awesome song!! Yea... The second listen is sounding even stronger. This is going to grow into a monster of an album for me. I'm SOFA KING happy right now haha. If I can find one flaw so far it has to be the way the album ends. The closing song is a good one, but it just sort of....stops, and then that's it. I think another softer ambient leaning track afterward would have complimented it really nicely. I understand what you mean, give up the ghost seems like a better closer.

Haven't heard the new album yet. Just saw the video for Lotus Flower on youtube, though, and liked it. Much relistening is required. And can I just add that Thom Yorke is one seriously weird looking dude but also in my mind one of the hottest guys ever. Watching him do that herky jerky dance just makes it better.

Got home, got the download and finally listened to The King of Limbs...after a couple of listens...it's a good album by a great band. Not blowing my mind the way that OK Computer, The Bends, Kid A and In Rainbows did, but it is a good album.
Currently listening to The Bends.

I'm sure it will grow on me, but I'm kind disappointed with King of Limbs. First of all it's way too short, ending just as Im settling into it. Still lot's of great stuff though; Codex, Lotus Flower (That video!), and Bloom are pretty great. I'm not sure if I can call this a step forward (or in a new direction) for the band just yet. That's the most disappointing thing about King of Limbs. That, and the fact that people are calling it KoL

Yeah, I know. I just want it to be. It's solid, but definitely their worst/most boring since HTTT.

They've only put out one other album since HTTT. So basically, you like it less than In Rainbows.

And HTTT is an underrated masterpiece.
After listening to this Radiohead album a lot, I think Pitchfork will give it a...7.4. Like everything else. Oooh competition time! Predict the arbitrary Pitchfork rating!

I guess I meant it's their worst not counting HTTT (which is still REALLY good)

HTTT was my favorite Radiohead album until I finally "got" Kid A after a few years of disregarding it.
As far as TKoL goes, I think Pitchfork is too scared to give them anything less than an 8, so I'm guessing 8.1 with the obligatory "Best New Music" tag.

After enough proper listens I'll probably rank King of Limbs lower than HTTT. After 4 full listens I just don't see it growing on me too much. Also, I just realized that I completely forgot about Pablo Honey (as everyone does I guess).
I want to go against the odds and say p4k will hate it and give it a 5.2 or something, but I can't really see it happening. I'm going to go with 8.4 with BNM ;D

Pitchfork needs to come out with the review for the new Radiohead album so I can tell my friends if I like it or not!

We're taking a quick break from being on topic to read (or reread, if you've seen this before, as I hope you have) this piece of genius.

Hey Pea, there is a lot of talk on the internet that KOL was the first part of a double album. So your comment here makes sense. Seperator( get it)might be the end of the first album. That may be why it just sorta stops
