Hot Chip - In Our Heads Metric - Synthetica
The new Hot Chip is pretty, pretty fantastic. Not too thrilled with the Metric album.

Listened to Dark Was the Night all the way through for the first time tonight. I had heard the Ben Gibbard & Feist, Bon Iver, Feist & Grizzly Bear, Beirut, and New Pornographers tracks before, but I absolutely loved the album as a whole. I'm usually not a fan of compilation albums, but I loved nearly every moment of this one. I especially enjoyed the version of "Lua" with Gillian Welch much better than the version on I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning. That song and "Big Red Machine" with Aaron Dessner & Justin Vernon were my two personal highlights. Excellent, but long record. I'll probably spin it again tomorrow. It's all about Knotty Pine. That's one of my favorite songs period.

I'm dying to know if Burrito completed the grand Ween/Primus experiment or if his resolve was dissolved by Sasquatcheroo.

I'm dying to know if Burrito completed the grand Ween/Primus experiment or if his resolve was dissolved by Sasquatcheroo. I failed so hard. It went like this: Sailing the Seas of CheeseTales from the PunchbowlGreen NaugahydeQuebecWhite PepperFUCKING PRIMUS LIVE: OOOOOH SHIT Sailing the Seas of Cheese (again, because our epic jam closer was Tommy the Cat) Green Naugahyde (again, because I just had to relive that shit) Shinola, Vol. 1La CucarachaThen I passed the fuck out during Pure GuavaI should have set this goal on a day where I wasn't going to a concert with the flu, but whatever; I had fun.

Now you listen to Pure Guava. This is the thing you do next.
I've always thought of The Pod and Pure Guava as companion albums.
