Brian Eno & John Cale - Wrong Way UpI have not heard this. Would I dig? That is sort of a silly question, I suppose.

Brian Eno & John Cale - Wrong Way UpI have not heard this. Would I dig? That is sort of a silly question, I suppose. It's pretty good; it's one of the last times that Eno had lyrics/vocals on an album, and there's some excellent songs on there. The production reeks of the 1980s, however.

Tame Impala - Innerspeaker (Wonk: After listening to this again I can say that I really enjoy it. I liked HG's comment about the production sounding like "Tomorrow Never Knows" but for me that mostly just goes for the vocals. I think they shred (In their own way) and am really excited for their upcoming release) Hosoi Bros - 7" Japandroids - Celebration Rock St. Vincent - Strange Mercy Modest Mouse - Nobody's First And You're Next

Aww man, I guess Enon broke up. Although apparently Toko Yasuda was St. Vincent's touring synth player.

Tame Impala - Innerspeaker (Wonk: After listening to this again I can say that I really enjoy it. I liked HG's comment about the production sounding like "Tomorrow Never Knows" but for me that mostly just goes for the vocals. I think they shred (In their own way) and am really excited for their upcoming release) It was always my gripe with the band. Innerspeaker sounds like ten different versions of the same Beatles song. I tried to get it, I listened to the album at least twelve times. I am still convinced the only reason anyone knows who they are is because a member of the band was sleeping with someone who worked at Pitchfork. *Also, I enjoyed them at Sasquatch 2010 when they filled in for someone I can't remember. Only caught 3 songs but they sounded great. It was Yes Giantess, who were barely distinguishable from Foster The People. Oh how times have changed. Modest Mouse - Nobody's First And You're Next Speaking of HG, I've been mildly influenced by his unfounded hatred of this album. I listened to it a couple weeks ago, and it was as fun of a listen as any Modest Mouse album (albeit not nearly as great as the others). It's still better than 90% of the bands Pitchfork obsesses over, and I told him this at least four times.

No One's First and You're Next is fucking awesome.
EDIT: Actually it's pretty good. I just got really excited at first because it reminded me that I haven't listened to it in a while.

Pierce Fulton - GDD Mix Popeska - Popeska in MP3 These are the two openers for Wolfgang Gartner's upcoming fall tour and both produce some top notch house music. Any fans of WG should definitely look into both of them. EDIT: Here, give 'em a listen. The Mastodon/Feist split EP has been released in digital format. It has a Mastodon cover of A Commotion and a Feist cover of Black Tongue. Both songs are covered very well.
