I'm so fucking excited about Sasquatch that I forgot to mention I listened to Exclusively Talentmaker and Blue Screen Life last night, and I still like Blue Screen Life the best. (there should be one where the tongue sticks straight out, because that's what I'm actually doing).

Every year during the week of Sasquatch I stop listening to the bands that are playing at the festival, and focus on listening to one band all week until I am fucking sick of them. Then I go to Sasquatch and hearing different music sounds amazing. I suggest everyone try this. This year I have chosen: Animal Collective! I have listened to strictly AC for longer than a week without becoming ill in the past, so this should be easy. This post will suffice for me until the festival as far as "Meow Playing" goes; I'll be playing with these kitties all week long. I am excited about Animal Collective. I hope y'all Soulys and Lumpys are ready for dis.

Once again, I've been putting off buying Here Comes the Indian on vinyl because it is OOP and goes for like $100+, and I have no doubt that the minute I drop the cash it will be re-released.

Holy shit! I just had a transcendental day of driving and music.
Gramma was playing the new Battles at our campsite so I decided to finally give that thing a whirl. 'Gloss Drop' is JAW DROPPING! No word of a lie, I listened to the whole album front to back 8 times in a row, no break in between just back to the beginning everytime. It's been a while since I've done this with an album. The album is pure insanity. Talented, strategic, other worldly INSANITY!
I also listened to Jack White's album 4 times over and was completely flooded with Sasquatch memories. It was just too much fun this year. 'Blunderbuss' will now forever hold a special place in my heart.
Finally I ended the last leg of my trip with Tom Wait's 'Bonemachine' and 'Mule Variations'. That man is too good. 'Mule Variations' broke my heart in nothing but good ways all over again.

Battles- Gloss Drop Black Dice- Mr. Impossible
I called FD on the way home and he insisted that I listen to Battles. I had it on my ipod, but the files were all corrupted so I stopped in a McDonalds parking lot and used their wifi to buy the album on my phone. So worth it. AMAZING
I have had the Black Dice album on since I got home and it is fantastic. Burrito showed me the first two songs in his car on the way to Trader Joes, but the rest of the album just keeps getting better. I will be getting the rest of their albums eventually.
