Jape - The Monkeys in the Zoo Have More Fun Than Me
Some of you might actually dig this. I don't feel like it's worthy of A Record a Day, but the lead track 'Floating' is timeless. Check it:
edit: Pretty awesome video for that song, but the opening lyric is edited and it's a classic:
"We took our first pill when the music was shit/ I said, 'Fuck dancin' all night'/ But then that's just what we did..."

I think the only reason I felt unsatisfied at the end of that set was because "Dance Yrself Clean" was not played (or " New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down" but I fortunately got that later at Pitchfork) LCD was my most anticipated act for the festival, and as awesome as their set was, they nearly broke my heart when they didn't play this. Surprisingly enough, I didn't know much from them before Sasquatch. I knew maybe a handful of songs, but now after seeing them, I'm a devoted fan. Whenever I get the chance, I make sure to play an LCD staple at the radio station I work at.

For some reason I could never get into LCD before Sasquatch. I forced myself to give them a proper few listens and now they're easily in my top 5.
LOVE that band.

Dance Yrself clean was the first track I'd ever heard of theirs, and I fell in love at the 3:08 mark and have not looked back. I worked my way thru their whole catalog immediately after that.

Did you know James Murphy was offered a job to be one of the writers for Seinfeld? He turned it down to pursue other projects and get LCD rolling. Guess he woulda been successful either way.

"Futuristic Casket" by Phantogram is the best song to go running to.

I'm also adding The Clientele's Strange Geometry
Saw them with Beach House one day while just walking down the street at a tiny space for $10. I've never listened to anything other than this album, but I love it and they were great live. Beach House still needed some work back then (2006 I believe).
