That Lemon Jelly is one of maybe a couple dozen albums that I recently replaced with the help of Burrito's hard drive after having lost them in a CD book stolen out of Stormy's old Kia a few years back. I hadn't heard it since then, and I love it.

It's such a good chillout record. "Ramblin' Man" in particular is my Jelly jam.

Z-Rock Hawaii - S/T Tame Impala - Innerspeaker Youth Lagoon - Wondrous Bughouse Yeasayer - Odd Blood Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City
Listening to the Tame Impala and the Youth Lagoon back-to-back didn't do either of them any favors.

I tried to like this album because I love Yeasayer but I just never could get into it. It seems a lot of people on the board didn't like Fragrant World but I really like that one. Afternoon listening has been: Barrows - Red Giant ( soundcloud.com/barrows/sets/red-giant ) Wooden Shjips - West Moon Duo - Mazes Mutoid Man - Helium Head

I don't really like Odd Blood that much, but I definitely like it better than Fragrant World. When Fragrant came out, the only response I had to it was that it made me appreciate Odd Blood a little bit more. Just a little. Both albums kind of irritate me, and neither is 1/10th as good as All Hour Cymbals was.

Yeah, that album is their best by far. Did you ever get around to listening to Bear In Heaven - I love you, it's cool? I remember around the last time we were discussing Yeasayer on the board I was listening to that album a lot. Curious what you thought of it.

Nah, I never did. I kind of forgot about Bear in Heaven, actually, although I totally dig Beast Rest Forth Mouth.

This new album by a lady named Fatima is beautiful. Lots of great production credits on it, and her voice is haunting and lovely. Stream the whole thing here, highly recommended:

I thought I posted this before, but I don't see it anywhere so I might be wrong. Here's the mix I made for the What The Fest contest that I didn't win. It's got lots of good house music with some subtle edits all over the place. Check it out. I was kind of disappointed they went with a bunch of trap-heavy mixes for the Pool Party mixes was looking for something more like yours with some more chilled out house and such. Nice mix, I'm jammin it here at work as my Friday treat. I just realized I didn't reply to this! I totally thought they'd be going for a more fun-in-the-sun house music type of vibe, which is right up my alley, but I guess I was very wrong about that. None of the mixes that made the top 5 impressed me at all.

But Don't Just Regurgitate Creative History, or Hold Art and Music and Literature as Fixed, Untouchable and Kept Under Glass. I keep telling myself that Thurston and Kim are going to make up and Sonic Youth will headline Sasquatch one of these years. It's a hopeless fantasy, but it's mine. I saw them at the Gorge back in 95 and it was fucking incredible. They really are a band that has to be experienced live to truly appreciate.
