You definitely chose the cream of the crop to start with. Asking for a favorite was kind of a trick question, as they are each excellent for different reasons. The Fall of Math is especially special to me, but that has a lot to do with it being the first one I heard. So far, I would have to say my favorite is whichever I'm listening to at the moment. They haven't disappointed me yet. I have to say they are my favorite new music find since I (re)discovered Mogwai a couple months ago.

Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
I rarely actually listen to this album, but when I do it makes me realize how much it shaped what music I like today. I need to make sure to go back to it more often. This was my absolute favorite for about a year in high school when it came out.

Like, seriously, where did this song come from? Some crazy free form jazz with a double time hip hop beat/also somehow a cover of a song from The Sound of Music. Awesome.

I like him too! I saw the show in Seattle 7ish years ago when David Bazan opened for Ben Gibbard and Jenny Lewis came out and sang a bunch of songs. I listened to Achilles Heel about a million times in high school.

I'm definitely more of a Pedro the Lion fan than his solo stuff but there's no denying that he is a hell of a songwriter. He played Control in it's entirety at The Nepchune last year and rocked it out. Here's yours truly at Pedro the Lion's set from Sasquatch 2003 (probably the height of my fandom)...Holy shit Sasquatch '03, eleven years ago! I think I knew even then that I would never stop going. You're one of the very few Pedro the Lion/David Bazan fans I've found on this board. Favorite album and/or song? I'm relatively new to Bazan. I actually really like his first solo EP Fewer Moving Parts. I also really like the The Only Reason I Feel Secure EP.
