Sled Island commissions artists every year to make unique posters for specific shows during the festival. I managed to get one of the Swans ones! I hung around after the show to meet Michael Gira and get my poster signed. He is an awesome guy and he seems to genuinely care about his fans. I don't think I've ever met an artist that was so appreciative of his fans coming to see the show. That is awesome. Gira seems like the most genuine of dudes.

I'm so ready for a new SBTRKT album. The guy is one of the most talented people I know. Here's a snippet of something new, accompanied by some sweet visuals too.

Flume - S/T
I kept hearing Flume's name so I finally decided to go check him out. Not too bad. I would say potential Sasquatch artist this year as well. Also found this Boiler Room set.

I saw Flume a few months ago in Portland and he was great. He'd be an excellent Sasquatch artist for the dance tent one of the nights. I can support this idea.

I blew through the Darkside and Jon Hopkins Boiler Room sets today while cleaning my apartment. Damn good sets. Like whoa.

I wonder if she will be invited back after this: Wasn't that preplanned? Also Girl Talk did the same thing twice, in '09 and '12.

If it was preplanned, I wasn't aware. I thought Girl Talk had fans on stage from the beginning of the show in '09, rather than a mid-set bum-rush. I didn't see him last year. Either way, the main stage was having sound issues the day that M.I.A. played, so I would like to see her again.

Tool - Salival Sigur Rós - ( ) The Orb - Live 93
I listened to my first FLAC today. Laptop HD's are prohibitive to the size of my digital collection, so I've avoided it in the past. I don't think there is any going back, and the above is all FLAC.

I don't understand, isn't the entire point of FLAC to compress the size of files, making it an ideal choice for limited hard drive space?
