I fucking love tropic lame. I like it more than anything off of Patagonian, I think. Can't wait for them to come to town again, man.

Did you see them at the Vera a couple years back opening for Marnie Stern? Or at Chop Suey with Melt-banana? And didn't they also open for Boris at Neumos back in 2008? I'm pretty sure I've seen them as an opener 3 times, and they were drastically different each time. Weird fuckin' dudes, but I can dig it.

Primus - Green Naugahyde Torche - Harmonicraft
I used to only kind of like Torche, but this is my first time listening to the new one and I fucking love it. My level of Sasquatch stroke has increased by 1.

I saw them at the vera with Marnie Stern, then hopped on a train to see them in portland opening for Marnie Stern. It was awesome. The one time I missed them that was stupid was the first time I saw The Fall of Troy and I didn't even know who they were, so it was all like, 'who cares about Tera Melos and Kane Hodder?" Huge mistake.

If you haven't listened to Fang Island's self-titled, you gotta. It's a billion times better than Major.

I don't drink beer at shows, but I moshed with a heavy bottle of water in my left hand. My right was too busy clenching itself into a fist and pumping the sky.

I don't agree with s/t being a billion times better than Major. Both of those albums are solid top to bottom though. "Sideswiper" is my favorite song of theirs. Did you guys see Zechs Marquise at that Crocodile show? Fucking wicked.

Did you guys see Zechs Marquise at that Crocodile show? Fucking wicked. I mean, don't get me wrong, I fucking love Major. But S/T is an album that I play front to back on a regular basis, and I have since its release. On the other hand, every now and then I listen to Major, but more often I just skip to "Chompers" and rock my face off. "Sideswiper" is also my favorite. Not sure if it's because it's the most epic track they've ever done, or because there's at least 5 genres of rock music that the song goes through before it finishes.
