I don't think I've given Primus - Antipop the credit it deserves. It's probably toward the back end if you are rating their albums, but I have been listening to it lately, and it is still a pretty good listen. Electric Electric is great song. It's got that darker Primus sound. This song in particular keeps me coming back to this album.

Definitely going to have to disagree with you there. Antipop is fucking awful. I remember being so pissed when it came out. I don't even own a copy of it anymore, and I never even consider mentioning it in conversations about Primus. Suffice to say that a ten-year hiatus was entirely justified after Antipop.
'Coattails of a Dead Man' was the only redeeming track on that record. That could have come off Pork Soda, but coming at the end of the album it is way too little way way too late.
Ugh.

I think Antipop is the only Primus album I never did actually purchase. I've been digging into their catalog lately. I decided I should check it out, since I haven't really listened to it since it's release. I need to listen to The Brown Album more as well. I really didn't listen to the post Punchbowl stuff too much.

I like Antipop, a lot, haha. Kymess I agree with HG, you should listen to Frizzle Fry. I think it's an essential album for everyone to hear.

Listening to Frizzle Fry right now... very groovy.
They're playing the Orpheum in June around my birthday - do you think that would be a good venue to see them in? You can't really dance there and I've been having a lot of fun dancing around my living room to them today.

I've been having a lot of fun dancing around my living room to (Primus) today. This sounds like the best day ever! I would recommend that you definitely see them. The shows since Jay Lane has come back have been dynamite! I remember a while back when they were touring at the same time as Arcade Fire and we all had a disscusion on here about how crazy I was for saying that Primus was a thousand times better than The Arcade Fires (who I did see as well in that week). I also said Caribou was better than The Arcade Fires, which was and still is true! I remember Gramma backed me on Primus and described them as "Thunder of the Gods", which is correct.

Lucero - Rebals, Rogues, and Sworn Brothers I love these guys so much. Cowboy punk is the best.

Primus and Caribou are definitely better than most bands, including any that play in arcades or use fire.

That Pink Mountaintops reference in Twin Peaks HAS to be intentional, right? Or vice.versa, I suppose. I got a real kick out of that

Haha, I'm still entirely convinced that there's something to that Weird Science/Mulholland Drive thing. Seriously, the similarities are just too strong for it to be accidental.

I now have my parents vinyl collection, which was one of the motivating forces for me buying the turntable I have.
