25 years is the song I was listening to when I came up with the description above if that helps.

Throw Dead Set, and All Walks of Life in there too

I've only ever listened to Diadem, and I love that album. Do you think that their current work would be for me? Full disclosure- Not a black metal, or metal in general, fan normally.

They can be very ambient on one track then the next will be more black metal. It is the black ambient music that made me more open to black metal. A song like Dia Artio would be a good example of their more beautiful ambient work.

I don't know what it was that made me love Diadem of the Twelve Stars so much, but that was on a pretty constant rotation for me for quite a while. I'll have to watch this video in a bit when I have 14 spare minutes.

Yeah, I'd have to say I'm definitely way more into Diadem than this. Not that this is bad, it just doesn't hold my attention.

It's just a mellow opening track.

Better opening track (IMHO):

Yes, definitely more their typical sound. They do mix it up a little though. Like I said going more ambient on some tracks. I think the last one I posted is one of their shortest tracks.

They are probably my favorite artist to come out of the Northwest in the last decade. I haven't been to a show, but they often play with nothing more than a few candles for light.

Yeah, I've thought about going to see them a couple times. My friend and I discussed wearing suits.

This song popped into my head today because I started playing the drumbeat on my teeth with my tongue ring while I was at work. Needless to say, some people were slightly annoyed.
