| I can't believe I'm saying this, but the new Black Keys album just crawled into my top 20 of of the year. This album is brilliantly fun to listen to. |

| Is Pitchfork's review of the new Black Keys especially awful, or are all of their reviews such rambling stews of word vomit? I typically view their number grade and skip the actual reviews, so I can't really gauge this one. I've heard you guys mention this before though so I'm thinking it's the belt sander. |

No that's a fairly typical review for them. I have a hard time getting upset about it though cause what are you really going to say about the black keys? They've just been refining the same album for the better part of a decade, no one really needs to be told what it sounds like.
The Childish Gambino review from today is absolutely stellar though. Sums up all my thoughts on that album very succinctly |

| I wasn't referring to the reviewer's opinion of the album. More so his multi-paragraph dribble about absolutely nothing before actually getting to his few lines of actual review. |

oh no it's straight up garbage. absolutely nothing in that review is useful in any sense. I'm just saying that reviewing the black keys at this point is kind of unnecessary.
"sounds like the black keys. It's pretty catchy. You'll probably like it"
That's my review right there |

| That was one of most butthurt reviews I've ever read.
"YOU TALK BAD ABOUT PITCHFORK? WELL FUCK YOU HERE'S A 1.6!"

| I really don't think that's the case. His persona is complete gibberish and they called him on it |

Fair point. But I could have sent them an album with me just having reverby sounds with cool 80's drums and a cool name from a totally cool part of the world with a totally mysterious persona would have gotten at least a 6.2
that score is a fuck you. |
