I don't know if someone already mentioned it, but I'm pretty excited for the new Atlas Sound record Parallax, out November 8th. I really enjoyed the first few released tracks, and I've been a moderate fan of most of what Bradford Cox puts out there. More good news, I read the "Premature Evaluation" on Stereogum today which said there a a bunch of tracks that could have easily fit on Halcyon Digest, if that is the case I'm sure I will love it.

| now...where do I find this on vinyl... |

You can order it from Amazon. They have a few copies, but as far as I know that's the only place you can get it -- I was told that it was never officially released, but a few copies seem to have gotten out anyway. In a week or so, though, it is going to be released as a 2xLP with the original album as well as the album of covers so maybe you want to hold out for that.
I just got my vinyl copy in the mail on Friday. It sounds just beautiful. |

It's a phenomenal cover. There's a lot of other stuff on there I'm really excited to hear. I'm not huge on Frightened Rabbit, but their cover of 'My Brother Tom, The Green Beret' is really good. I can't even imagine what James Kochalka doing 'The Bus Stop Song' sounds like. And Mice Parade does one of those incredible instrumentals from the second half of the album; I think 'A Trip Down the Rooster River'.
So stoked. And I'm thrilled that you enjoyed that record -- it's so fucking good, it's just a secret that shouldn't be kept. |

| I still find it hilarious that I found a copy of "If a Band Plays in the Woods...?" for $1 or something absurd a week before it was even released. I'm certain it was a promo that the record store just tossed the fuck out, but there are no hole punches or scratched out bar codes or anything on the case. I think I'll pull it out and give it a couple refresher spins tomorrow. |

Ha, I remember that. You sent me a PM saying, "Hey I found that album and it's pretty good" and I was all like "YOU BASTARD!".

It's pretty amazing (although anyone who cares about this has already heard it I'm sure). The giant box set comes out tomorrow. |

How many times is Brian Wilson going to try to sell me Smile?
It's nothing that wasn't done a 1000x better on Pet Sounds anyway. |
