Anyone seen these before?

Basically some French dude records a band playing a couple of songs at random places around Paris and other cities. Sometimes they'll play a song in the streets, on the metro, in somebody's apartment, in an elevator. All kinds of interesting things happen during the videos too. It's pretty wild.

I've been obsessed with these since I came across them yesterday. Here are two of my favourites:

Yeasayer doing a great rendition 2080 at some dude's apartment after a show:

Menomena doing Wet and Rusting in the courtyard of apartment buildings while two little kids dance:

I wish I had thought of this idea before this guy did.

DAMNIT! and I actually HAD this idea.

Hell, they do a much better job than I'd ever be able to though.

He seems to have other people film for him in various cities. I wonder if I could score that gig.

So this is like a more interesting version of Black Cab Sessions which was a more interesting version of Daytrotter? Cool.

New Take Away Show with Local Natives was just posted by Pitchfork and it's really awesome. One of my favorites.

That Local Natives video sent chills down my spine multiple times. Guh-orgeous.

That one was good too. I'm a big fan of Phoenix's performance as well.

I don't know if it has been mentioned before, but Vincent Moon did a cinema verite style doc on the National a couple years ago. They used to have a lot of live vids made by him on their site back when Alligator came out.

The doc is probably for fans only I'd say.

The only ones I've really seen are of The National, but I like the idea/execution.
