| Good post, HG. I remember jokingly saying while in line to see Radiohead, "So who are we seeing, Muse?" and roughly a dozen people looked at me like I just shot their dog dead. |

I didn't compare them for a reason. |

| ahhaha, I'm just surprised Muse was lower than ghostland in your opinion. I haven't seen Muse, but I kind of assumed they would have a kickass visual display. |

Kid A is my favorite Radiohead album but yeah It's not gonna sound anything like Muse. Muse is ripping off earlier Radiohead, specifically Ok Computer and The Bends.

| Compare 'My Iron Lung' to 'Muscle Museum' and you'll see what we mean. |

I get it now. I always knew there were similarities.. but that's crazy. But.. there ARE only so many chords and sequences of music that sound good together.. There is bound to be some overlap. I don't really like saying bands 'ripped other bands off'. Sometimes I have a melody stuck in my head and I don't know where it came from. I imagine writing music is somewhat similar. |

Right now I'm in the middle of my first solid listening to TKoL, and honestly I am really enjoying this. It's stripped down and it's mellow, but I like it. Up until now I've only listened to a song here and there while performing other tasks. I forget that Radiohead is one of those bands that you need to give an honest effort sometimes. Not saying that it made a big jump on my list, but it definitely rejoined the pack.
souly, if you want to give Radiohead a real shot you should listen to The Bends. I think you would like it the most. Every album is so different though, so if The Bends doesn't do it for you please don't give up. Can you tell that I want you to like Radiohead?
Also, I wanted to tell you that I'm a Muse fan. I saw them last time they came to town and they put on one hell of a show! They write some powerful music too. But they are no Radiohead. |

I was at the Vancouver show in April! Is that the one you're talking about??
And don't worry, I'll give them a fair chance. I'm just not used to being around people who like Radiohead. It's very strange. |

Yes, I was there! I was on the fence about going, but my girlfriend convinced me and I'm really glad I went. I would definitely see them again at a festival and I would seriously consider going during their next regular tour too. They had killer visual effects!

Music boards were invented so Radiohead fans can talk about Radiohead. |

| For real. I can't believe I actually thought for a second that this thread would be bound for failure. |

I saw baths tonight, good show but I think the opener blew him out of the water. Braids opened the show and were shockingly good. They sound a lot like animal collective with two female leads but it was way better than you'd think. If you're considering going to the show next week when they're in Seattle or Portland it's definitely worth it. The Cerulean songs baths played were great (but the new stuff was kinda lame) and Braids whole set was engrossing

| Akron/Family will never get my time of day because every time I hear that name I think of Akon instead. |
