The Joy Formidable are playing Venue in Vancouver March 26th. I think it is dumb they are playing a 500 person venue, and I expect it to sell out very fast. Tickets on sale this Friday.

Is what I think he meant.
"The Joy Formidable is playing a Venue in Vancouver?"
I think 500 is too small for them and I think it will sell out fast (was that not clear?)
They're a great live band and they have songs on the radio, so people actually know who they are. There was easily 500 people from Vancouver who saw them at Sasquatch and will probably want to see them again since the show is only $20.

Ohhhh, I've gone almost a week without reading the Coachella board, so I guess my interweb reading comprehension skills aren't as dumb-downed as usual. It would have been clear had you said this:
I think it is dumb they are playing a 500 person venue and I expect it to sell out very fast. Tickets on sale this Friday.
I honestly thought the "and expect it to sell out" referred to "they" as in the band. I'm no grammar Nazi (I am not a grammar Nazi), it just didn't make sense.
I'm no english major (clearly), but if I say "I think that bridge is poorly built and expect it to fall over", isn't it implied that it is me expecting it to fall over?
I knew what you meant daver, but the sentence is still totally wrong. Even the corrected one above sounds like you're saying you think it's dumb for the band to expect it to sell out.
"I think it is dumb The Joy Formidable are playing a 500 person venue and expect it to sell out very fast"
Not trying to be a smartass, I just didn't think what I said would be hard to understand, even if it wasn't technically correct.
Let's pretend The Joy Formidable thought they would sell out a venue quickly, and you disagreed and thought they were dumb for thinking that. Without changing the structure of your original post, explain this scenario?
Sorry dude, I wasn't even trying to fuck with you this time. I'm not usually one to tell everyone, "I DON'T GET IT," but I obviously missed your point the first time.
