| Blurry Doug Marstchsquatch pic. I know that he is pretty unsociable so I asked him before taking it and he said his famous "thanks!" because I asked. |

The joke was the cube would have one play button, while an unhooked show would have up to three (the freedom to do whatever he wants as Pea said).
GET IT? HE STILL JUST PRESSES PLAY. |

I GET IT!
I hate myself when one of wonk's jokes goes over my head. He's such a little fella, he has to lob 'em pretty high for that to happen. |

Plans for tomorrow in Seattle fell through but confirmed that I get to go to see LOZEN at the Shakedown in Bellingham tomorrow!!! I fucking love LOZEN and their release last year was my number 4 of the year. Good first show of the year

The good news is that Primus' 3D what-have-you is certainly the coolest use of the technology that I have ever seen. As a gambit to keep the crowd from thrashing each other to ribbons, it was pretty damn effective as well -- the majority of the crowd were standing there slack-jawed for the bulk of the performance (personally I managed to behave myself until they played 'John the Fisherman'; I lost my bottle of water and my glasses within five seconds).
The bad news is that, being stereoscopic 3D, it's not really something that will work in a festival setting and especially at the Gorge. So we're going to have to settle for regular ol' Primus, which is fine. |

| Also: a dude in a homemade Residents eyeball won the costume contest, and Les commented that 'If you don't know who this gentleman is supposed to be, then you probably shouldn't be in this building.' They then proceeded to cocktease the intro to 'Hello Skinny' for a full five minutes before refusing to play the whole song. If they had, Primus @ Warfield 12/31 would have pooped Roger Waters down to #2 on my top ten shows of 2012 list. It was that fucking good. |

| Yo La Tengo are playing an in-store show at the Queen Anne Easy Street Records in Seattle on their final day of business: Jan. 18th. This is my favorite record store in the world and my current favorite band-who-plays-sad-as-well-as-fucking-rocking-chunes, so anyone who's ever wanted to see a burrito weep over some Bjork records and guitar riffs should come on down and join the party. |

All you Canadians should go see Bonobo at Sugar Nightclub on Friday. Me and Burrito might try to go but it's a crapshoot if they will let us into your country.
Souly- That's the same night as your Lady Gaga show, right? If we make it into the country we should hang out after! |

| That show is on Vancouver Island, not in Vancouver. |

Oh. Well, that's kind of awesome for us, the Victoria Clipper leaves straight from downtown Seattle. Does anyone know what boarder patrol is like on the clipper? |
