Yup, I just got through again too. Really strange because it first said, "keep trying" then said, "this event is no longer on sale." That is why I said it is now officially sold out. Turns out they are still available. KEEP TRYING.

You know what I fucking hate are these upstart ticketing services that make their name on offering an alternative to getting face-fucked by Ticketassmaster only to start implementing outrageous service fees and playing the fucking shell game with ticket availability as soon as they get their feet under them.

Fuck you, Ticketfly.

I can't wait until a new version of the internet comes out and I can do a search for the exact number of times I have used the word 'fuck' on this board.

I may or may not have grabbed an extra two for Built to Spill.

I noticed that Marco Benevento is playing the Dour Fir the weekend following Built to Spill. I saw the Benevento Russo Duo when I was in college and it was a really cool show. Benevento plays with some crazy distortions/experimental jazz stuff on the piano. If you're into that kind of thing, I'd reccommend it. Also, sometimes Dave Dreiwitz from WEEN plays bass for him, not sure if he is on this tour or not though.

Second Built to Spill show added at the Doug Fir -- 1/31/13. My fucking birthday.

Heads up to anyone who missed out on tickets to the first show. Feel free to return the fancy sweater you were planning on giving me and grab an extra pair for me and Stormy while you're at it.

Google image searching "fancy sweater" seems like it should provide hilarious results but it's really super boring. Get better at fancy sweaters the internet.

Didn't make it for the first show, but was able to snag a ticket for the second show.

The second actually being the first.

Built to Spill all twisting and interweaving our notions of time just like their guitar notes.

Also, I just saw that Retox is opening for Tomahawk. I saw them open for Melvins, and it was one of the most confusing sets I've ever seen. Their songs are a few seconds long, and they consist of a lot of yelling and blast beats.

I guess Trevor Dunn has a thing for them.

I am so excited for this show. But I need to go to the box office for tickets because the fees are ridiculous.
