David Byrne and St. Vincent were phenomenal. There were only three Talking Heads songs in the set, and they were all great. Hearing St. Vincent songs with lots of trumpets was pretty cool too.

Oh, and I got MUTHFUCKIN DAVID BYRNE to sign my Fear of Music vinyl. Seriously friendly guy. He signed everything that the people waiting outside had, (except for the guy who wanted him to sign EVERY Talking Heads album. He only got him to sign True Stories lol), he took pictures, and then he walked off down the street by himself to go to his hotel. He was rushing it a little, but that's pretty much what everyone does.

I didn't get to see Annie at all. She must have left before I got to the side of the venue.

Tonight is the Bosnian Rainbows show (Omar) and Crypts is opening. I can't imagine how awkward this Crypts show will be at the triple door. People eating food while watching Crypts kind of feels like eating steak at strip clubs. Just seems wrong.

Fuckin' Geno all meetin' David Byrne. Awesome, dude. And BURN on that fucker who tried to get a whole stack signed, haha. A signed copy of True Stories is less exciting than being able to proudly say that you don't own a copy of True Stories at all.

I'm glad it was a good show, but only three Talking Heads songs is quite a Fuck You. I'm a little sad I missed it, but not very much. There's pretty much no way it would have measured up to the David Byrne show we saw a couple of years ago.

Oh yeah, and while I was waiting outside, I saw a girl who looked a lot like Carrie Brownstein walk by. I thought it was just a look-alike, but then I saw this was happening tonight.

So yeah it was her. Nobody else seemed to notice her so I didn't think much of it.

Did you tell her that Horned Gramma thinks she's lame?

So ya... James Murphy is coming and that's pretty awesome, but now the VERY NEXT NIGHT, The fucking Pharcyde is gonna play Bizarre Ride II in it's entirety. Those of you that know me, know that I don't normally care too much about all the hips and the hops, but this shit has me very excited.

Wait, James Murphy? Where, when, how much...

Nevermind I have google.

Edit: hmm, same night as the Chilli Peppers which I half heartedly committed to. And Diamond Rings... shit.

This is going to sell out in probably a day.... hmmmmmmm.

Fox did you get tickets already?

November 17th - Celebrities - approximately $20! Get on it DAVER! Pea is coming!

If the google doesn't help, I've posted a link about it on the old buttface.
Posted by davers on Oct 19, 2012, 7:04pm
Wait, your bookface says he won't be on till 1230 ish??? Damn I should do this.
Posted by emptyfox on Oct 19, 2012, 7:06pm
Well the night runs from 9 - 3 am... James Murphy will close, or at very least play until 2 AM... I'm really just guessing at set times.
Posted by davers on Oct 19, 2012, 7:09pm
Fuck it I'll just buy one and let future daver Dr. Garbanzoure it out.
Posted by kymess_jr on Oct 19, 2012, 8:13pm
Davers do it! Diamond Rings says it's an early show (9:30) on the ticket so I think we can do both!
Posted by emptyfox on Oct 19, 2012, 8:40pm
Ya, a Saturday night show at Forchune will be over early for sure, to make room for the untz untz untz late night crowd.
Posted by davers on Oct 19, 2012, 8:48pm
Diamond Rings will go till probably midnight tops, and the Chilli Peppers will probably be the same if I end up at that instead...

KY can you get me a James Murphy ticket? I still havent gotten a new credit card since my old one expired and I fear a quick sell out for this one.
