Animal Collective was so wonderful. I did not check their setlist before going (although I totally was at the first show). The Seattle show was huge and crazy, the stage set up was way cool. I felt kind of disoriented for the first half of the show, I guess because it was so different than any other AC show I have seen. Towards the end there were some totally danceable songs and I was getting way into it and then it ended. Dancing with HG and Souly was totally fun. Also, staying with Burrito and Nadine was great. Luther Vandross is the shit.

The Portland show I enjoyed way more. Like HG said, they hardly had any of the stage set up because the Crystal is smaller. But they sounded better. They really let go and tore the shit out of that show. I am not sure if I have ever danced that hard in my life. It was INCREDIBLY hot and crowded and everyone was just going crazy.

Haha shit. I bet the kids who caught both the SEA and PDX shows are kind of pissed about that.

I did not mind the same setlist at all, I expected it. The only thing that sucked is that Drew got Rosie Oh and we did not. Also, Animal Collective invaded my brain and plugged up my ear and I have had the crappiest ear infection for the last few days.

I forgot that Rosie Oh hadn't been played in Seattle or Portland so I didn't appreciate it as much as I would have knowing it was the tour debut. But I still appreciated it a lot. I've come to love Rosie Oh and New Town Burnout more than almost anything else on that album. Does that mean I'm a Panda guy?

For sure:

Matt & Kim - Oct 28, Commodore
The Pack A.D. - Nov 23, Commodore (weenie you should get on the nov 22 show in Victoria, these girls melt faces)
Japandroids - Dec 22, Rickshaw (rusty if you haven't gone home for chirstmas by then you should come)

Maybe:

Three Oh Sees - Oct 6th, Rickshaw. This mostly depends on if I make it home by then.
Presets - Oct 15, Commodore
Dan Mangen - Nov 9th, Commodore
The Zolas + The Belle Game - Nov 16, Rio
Diamond Rings - Nov 17, Forchune
Sheepdogs + Yukon Blonde - Dec 19th, Commodore

I think I'll be doing all of these ones.

I had no idea Diamond Rings was coming to town! I absolutely loved him when he opened for Twin Shadow last year, in fact he totally stole the show.

The Pack AD is a fucking must. I was floored by them at Squamish. Amanda almost called her husband to tell him she was switching teams so she could propose to the lead singer.

Diamond Rings should be awesome, I've never seen a show at Forchune but the fact that they have a +$1million soundsystem means it pretty much has to be a good show. Or at least sound good.

I'll do my best for Three Oh Sees, but it's pretty much out of my hands at this point.

You should also try to catch Thee Oh Sees if you can.
