Because he is a fortunate dude. We should drop this Owl City talk because:
A. It's fucking Animal Collective week
B. Somebody might accidentally listen to Owl City

I only moved here 3 months ago and don't know much about the venues. For a good sampling of what's going on musically check here: http://www.sandiegoreader.com/music/shows/

They don't list every venue but do cover a good number of them. In particular they're shy on the electronic music listings, which I generally have to look at the venues' web pages to discover.

Also, I got my Merriweather Post Pavillion signed by all of them aside from Panda Bear who I just BARELY missed.

So, Animal Collective has played the same set at the first three shows of their tour with the only exception of moving "Honeycomb" up earlier in the set last night. It will be interesting to see if they play the same set twice in Oakland. Drew - are you still going to both shows?

Most Animal Collective fans understand they will play very similar if not identical sets night to night. They craft their set list like they would craft an album's track list, and they always have enough production they have to play along to. The two Oakland shows are going to be nearly identical as well.

I know they'll probably play the exact same set both nights, but I'm kinda bummed the setlist doesn't have anything pre-Water Curses. I was hoping for...well a lot, but especially For Reverend Green or Banshee Beat or Purple Bottle.
