My bad, I forgot you were just complimenting my "14 year old girl claiming 'N Sync is better than Radiohead because Justin Timberlake is hot" abilities. The retreat is admirable.

I saw both Arcade Fire and BSS in Seattle, and I thought the AF show was a lot better. This is coming from a huge BSS fan. AF brought tons of energy and as one reviewer said, they were playing songs like it was the last time they'd ever be played. The video boards were a great background for them.

Going to see the Ben Gibbard solo show at the Crocodile tonight :)

I realize everyone's probably going to shit all over me for admitting this, but I saw OK Go last night ("Get Over It" was I rocked out to in 8th grade) and I gotta admit, I enjoyed it. They know how to put on a fun show and proved to be a nice nostalgia trip for me. They did a handbell version of one of my favorites of their older songs which I enjoyed as well too.

For those that weren't there, Ben Gibbard was awesome last night. He played songs from all over his career including the postal service and his collaboration with Jay Farrar. His whole family was there including Zooey, who came out for a couple songs. He closed with "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" and "Such Great Heights". Awesome show.

Gorillaz are just plain impressive. Sasquatch would be lucky to have them headline any year.

Man, I've seen Death Cab a couple times, but I would really like to see The Postal Service sometime, or at least see Ben play some of their songs. Was anyone from this forum there back in '04 when they played? My first year was '05 and I haven't missed a year since. I just looked it up and The Black Keys also played in '04! They're also on my hit list. Maybe they'll come back this year... Oh, and The Roots played then as well. That discussion was from a different thread though.

Some of their stuff I love, and some I just don't care for at all. I've listened to their latest album twice now and I'm still not sure what I think. I'd definitely like to see them live sometime, but will probably not shell out to see one of their expensive arena shows. A festival setting is much more likely.

Saw 'em in July myself too. Completely different, festival environment with thousands of people and I could barely see them from where I was.

Last night at a fairly small club with Spencer Krug's keyboard 2 feet from my face. Felt like 2 different bands, crazy how a space changes an experience for you.
