I just caught japandroids at a small bar in spokane on the 9th. It was supergood they invited anyone up who wanted to watch the show from on the stage. i was sitting right next to Dave's drum set, my ears are still ringing.
Local Natives, Arcade Fire, Deadmau5 in the next month here. Pretty amped!
and the National was fucking mindblowing tonight, but that's a given. they pulled out daughters of the soho riot and i've never heard close to 5000 people so silent and in awe.
just saw Broken Social Scene on Wednesday here in Pittsburgh... awesome show but the worst crowd i've ever seen for a concert. 35% of the audience sat in their seats the entire show.

retards.
You're in Pittsburgh too? I couldn't make it to that one because of prior commitments/theaters suck, and I missed out on National tickets because they're now sold out. Walkmen/Japandroids at Mr. Small's will be great, though, I'm sure, and I'm throwing around seeing a couple others...

They were silent and still the whole night, at least those standing. The crowd sucked. A hoard even left before the encore.
The crowd was, very little movement, few clapping along when the band tried to get the crowd going, very few hands above the head.
It was still an awesome show, I about lost my shit when they played "Available."
The setlist was almost the same tonight, minus "Brainy" in the first set, and they play "Secret Meeting" instead of the new song in the four song encore.
