Well Brand New is a lot bigger than those bands, so it might be different.
Brand New is bigger than those bands but the year before I saw the arctic monkeys for free and they're comparable in popularity. Another sign is that fact that you can buy tickets to all the other big shows (crystal ballroom and roseland) right now but the wonder shows aren't for sale

MSTRKRFT added to the lineup! I missed them at Sasquatch so I'm glad I'll be able to see them. And it's another NIKE sponsored show, so if what Know says is true, it will be free.
I would love to see Iron and Wine again. However, Band of Horse would be amazing to see for me too... I'm not sure which to pick or if I should go with the more expensive passes... decisions decisions...
I'm still disappointed with the headliners, because I wouldn't pay to see either of them again, but getting to see them each another time doesn't suck. The best part about the festival is the schedule. Of the 20-25 bands I would enjoy seeing, I only have to miss about three of them. The "main stage" Pioneer Courthouse shows start and finish early, so they don't conflict with other bands. Plus, all of the openers for the Pioneer Courthouse shows are bands I've seen and enjoy live, or bands I want to see.
What makes the lineup so good in my opinion is that this will all be taking place in Portland. This reduces costs of travel, camping, and time off work. I'm still a little confused about the process though. You aren't really guaranteed into any of the shows? It is based on capacity limits?
I am excited to see Neurosis. When I saw them on the lineup I nearly shit my pants. That takes me back to my heavy metal days when I saw them open for Pantera when I was like 14 years old. I'll probably go see some of the acts that are more dance oriented like Yacht (I am digging their new album) and Mad Rad. As for the headliners, I would see Iron and Wine again. As much as I love Band of Horses, their live show never intrigues me. I love their music, I find myself singing along to all the songs, but I am always underwhelmed.
