Saturday @ Lolla 2009
12:00-12:30 Thenewno2 (Dhani Harrison's band, not bad!) 12:30-1:30 Delta Spirit (somewhat underrated awesome band) 1:30-2:30 Miike Snow 2:30-3:30 Atmosphere 3:30-4:30 peeing/eating (not necessarily in that order) 4:30-5:30 Arctic Monkeys (love this band, amazing live) 5:30-6:30 Santigold 6:30-7:30 TV on the Radio (another one of my favs) 7:30-8:30 Animal Collective 8:30-10:00 Tool (the granddaddy of them all)
(12:45pm-1:45pm)- RX Bandits (1 hour set!! how amazing) (2:00pm-3:30pm)- Tortoise (4:00pm-5:30pm) -Hot Chip (so sick! paired with some excellent substances) (6:00pm-7:30) The Roots (could have been the substances, but they killed hard) (9:00pm-11:30pm) -Tool (super close and guest appearance by Tom Morello!) (12am) (substances) (12:00am-6:00am)- String Cheese Incident, STS9 and some DJ Shadow!!!!! (what a way to end a night)
-Seeing Bruce and Phish on the farm was insane, but all in all this was one of the better entire days I've had at a festival.

Tortoise killed it that day. So did Tool. But I think you may have missed out by not seeing the John Paul Jones, ?uestlove and Ben Harper Superjam that night!
^^^ I heard some of the Superjam, sounded great but unfortunately too packed. That was a great day at 'roo! So many of those to chose from... Neil Young, The Dead, Ween, The Boss, Phish, Tool, MMJ, and of course Radiohead.
But I will pick one of the festivals I was least excited for "Oxygen Fest 2004"just outside of Dublin, initially I heard it had bands like Black Eyed Peas, Pink and Ash - but knew people going so decided to go anyways. Well Saturday turned into one fine day...
Started with, Buck 65 The Killers (in 2004 this was neat - they were just some band in "the New Band Tent") Hope of the States (had only put out their first album which I really liked) Franz Ferdinand The Rapture PJ Harvey Belle and Sebastian The Strokes The Cure and The Chemical Brothers all night.
It was the first time they had held this festival and it was a complete mess in a good way, no control over bands stepping over the set time, broken curfews, and it made amsterdam look like a joke! The next day I saw Wu-Tang Clan, Shins, Muse, Jimmy Cliff and Wilco. Really turned out to be pretty fun.
Being that I am a huge fan of 90's music I would have to say that one of the best festival line-up's I've attended was at Summersault in 1999 and it went like this...
Deftones / Sum 41 / Catherine Wheel / Treble Charger / Catherine Wheel / Eve 6 / A Perfect Circle / Foo Dr. Garbanzohters / Our Lady Peace and the final tour of The Smashing Pumpkins!
Some of those bands have really shit the bed as of late, but back then it was Alt Rock Heaven...and Catherine Wheel blew most of those bands out of the water!
On the FLAMING FUCKING LIPSide...I also attended (can't remember the year) a crap festival in Camrose Alberta that featured:
Some Shit Canadian Metal Band / Rockhead / Sven Gali / Ugly Kid Joe / April Wine / Tom Cochrane / Def Lepard

AHHH...the good old days.
I was at Summersault '99 in Vancouver.
APC cancelled last minute because Jimmy Howerdel's Father died, but Maynard came out to sing Passenger with deftones which was FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!
