Caught the Seattle Jónsi show on a total whim tonight and it was by far one of the most incredible and moving musical experiences I've ever attended. The recorded versions of his songs are NOTHING compared to the shear magnitude and power of their live translations. Every member on stage was absolutely brilliant, especially the drummer, who was one of the best I've seen in a long time. It was cool to see Jónsi's boyfriend Alex playing along for the entire set as well. Wonderful sound, lighting, and imagery all combined together. If the tour happens to come through your area make you sure you don't miss this!

This is from last night's show, but it was the same as the one I caught tonight. Watch all the way through...spellbinding.

Damn you Patrick for making me want to attend.

Seriously though, I was really interested in hearing what the solo show would be like compared to the Sigur Ros shows, which are amazing, so thanks for the review.

Problem is, that is the pre Coachella week, when a handfull of Coachella acts are making the west coast swing. Jonsi's night was one of my only nights off. Oh well, sleep when you're dead.

I really wasn't planning on going but found an old friend who wanted to catch the it and both of us agreed it was one of the best we'd seen in our lives. You won't want to miss it!

Scalper: Looking for tickets?
Knowidyuh: Sure, how much?
Scalper: I paid $3,503 for them, I'll sell it to you for $2,402.
Knowidyuh: That seems like a bit much. How about $20?
Scalper: I paid $500, plus a $10 service charge, I'll give it to you for $94.23.
Knowidyuh: I'll give you $20.
Scalper: Are you insane? Ok, I'll give it to you for $55, final offer.
Knowidyuh: (looking around). I don't see anyone waiting in line to buy your tickets. I'll give you $20.
Scalper: Fine!

Score one for the little guy.

Well, I exaggerated a bit, but that was the gist of the encounter. A scalper wanting way too much. Somewhat like Sasquatch scalpers asking for $2,432 for a three day pass.
