| I saw Rusty when I was like 14 at this little pub in Vancouver called "The Town Pump". There were like 50 ppl there and it was pretty good... The Killjoys and Doughboys were ok, and I think I saw the Doughboys once at some random festival with The Tea Party et al.... Can't say I owned an album by any of them though... |

I much preferred them as the 'Rainbow Butt Monkeys' circa 1995 in the post grunge age.
My tongue is now planted in my cheek, but just a little bit.

Great list my friend...I love 90's Canadian rock! Those are all great but I was always partial to Limblifter, Headstones, Age of Electric, Pure and The Morganfields. |

| For a while Beck was one of the greatest performers in the world. I saw him on every tour from Odelay to The Information. The Midnight Vultures tour was absolutely fucking incredible. But then he just got so damn bored and lazy, the fucking marionettes and lame shit like that... |

Radiohead - Grant Park - Chicago 2001 Daft Punk - Lolla MMJ - Bonnaroo a long time ago.
These are my three favorite shows of all time. Just thinking about them make me so happy. |

Bon Iver from last year's Squatch is up there.
of Montreal in SLC on the Aldhils Arboretum tour. Kevin Barnes (dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt) and co., performing in a leaky shack at the end of an alley. Back when they'd still play songs that pre-date Satanic Panic in the Attic (My Favorite Boxer, anyone?). The whole crew crashed at my girlfriend's house that night.
Similarly, the Decemberists show at the Merced Theater in early 2003, about six months before Her Majesty came out. They played to a crowd of maybe 40 people; Colin was running the merch stand. I got the whole band to sign a Castaways & Cutouts promotional poster for me -- Colin wrote "Remember Antietam! Love, Colin Meloy". Years later my cat gave birth on it.
