jay-z muse gorillaz sly & the family stone the specials pavement phoenix thom yorke them crooked vultures LCD soundsystem tiesto david guetta mgmt vampire weekend the dead weather
I hope we get some cross overs like LCD, Spoon, Phoenix, Faith No More, MGMT, Thom, Them Crooked Vultures.
We already have Pavement, so thats a start. I'm actually scared that we wont get too many cross overs, because then we are going to basically be a mini Coachella without the headliners and I'm sure that Sasquatch wants to be its own festival.
i would love to sly and the family stone, but i'm not sure how well they fit in with sasquatch. noticeably absent is arcade fire - not sure if that bodes well for sasquatch or not.
Overlap I'd like to see: Vampire Weekend, LCD Soundsystem, The Avett Brothers, Sunny Day Real Estate (possibly... only if they closed out the second stage), Matt & Kim, Girls, Yeasayer, and Spoon.
Bands they can keep: Jay-Z (not because I don't want to see him -- but because I don't want to see him at Sasquatch), Them Crooked Vultures, Gorillaz, Coheed & Cambria (...really?), PIL, Grizzly Bear, Gossip, etc.
After seeing that lineup I wouldn't be displeased at all if Sasquatch was a "Mini-Coachella" this year. That lineup is badass through and through. It will be interesting though to see which of those bands do cross over and sort of do the festival tour over the summer.

as i posted in other thread MGMT is so far faling under festival tourers. not that they dont own us for not being there last year. i'd be okay with them.
Namely vampire weekend, kevin devine, mgmt, pavement (duh), Miike snow, yo la tengo ( i freaking wish), Julian Casablancas, white rabbits & grizzly bear.
I still wonder who is going to headline though... Besides pavement
about 60% of the bands on that lineup are ones I was hoping for sasquatch this year. It'll definitely be interesting to see who they can pull from there. And Grace Jones?! Gary Numan?!?! how wonderful and unexpected. I might be California bound this spring.
Can we just get Coachella without Muse, Jay-Z, Gorillaz(they would be cool but I doubt they'd play), Tiesto, and Coheed? It's pretty much just packed from top to bottom. Give us Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, and a few others and I'm great.
You know, I don't see anything too amazing on this poster...I think that as far as big names go, the only ones that excite me are the Dead Weather and Gorillaz, but most of the rest of these are either within the grasp of sasquatch, past or future, or are acts you could catch in the NW at some point. Maybe not Tiesto, but whatever. All I'm saying is I don't feel like Coachella has anything really exclusive or stunning...
Apparently thats just how Thom Yorke wants to be billed from now on, according to Pitchfork. That line up is great, I would love to see a lot of crossovers coming to Sasquatch. Arcade Fire and The Pixies not being at Coachella almost confirms for me that they are not doing the Summer circuit of festivals, which sucks. I still have my fingers crossed though. A few crossovers I expect to see are Spoon, Deerhunter and The Cribs since their touring at around that time. As long as we get a few of those headliners (preferably Thom Yorke????) and Yo La Tengo, I'd be satisfied.
