I'd say that one's safe, but who is it?
Posted by nick on Feb 15, 2013, 6:13pm
Unknown Mortal Orchestra, I think.
Posted by NO LOVE DEEP BJORRITO on Feb 15, 2013, 6:15pm
Of fucking course it is.

I've always kept track of the albums I liked through the year in my work email, but now that work won't let me listen to my music anymore I think I'll utilize this thread instead...

Please start my list with:
Local Natives - Hummingbird
Ra Ra Riot - Beta Love
eels - Wonderful, Glorious
Toro y moi - Anything in Return
Yo La Tengo - Fade

Yeah, it was actually quite the blow to me and has quickly jumped into spot #1 of reasons to find a new job.

This was my expected response. Sorry to hear that they shut ya down, I know I would freak the fuck out in that situation.

They're still going to "let me" listen to the clock radio but the whole reason I listened to my iPod was because the clock radio gets very poor signal and you lose reception if there's more than one person in the office or if you move your left arm or if it rains. You know, things that rarely occur in a Vancouver office setting ::)

What really eats me, is I've been there for four years, with no issue listening to my own device. But they made a whole bunch of changes for those of us that have to access our workspace through the public areas (ie I can't get to my office without walking through the lobby), such as we're only allowed ONE personal item and that item has to be a travel mug for water. I can't even bring a coffee to my desk anymore (unless it's in a travel mug and I forego the water mug). But if I worked on one of the levels where I don't walk through public space I could bring as many fucking cups to my desk as I wanted.

/end work rant
