Maybe that explains it, you have more Canada on your list than even the most patriotic Canadian on here. You even have Brasstronaut on there. I had no idea anyone from outside of Vancouver knew who they were.

I used to hang out on the forums for Questionable Content, they had a great music sub and that's where I found out about them. Probably had a lot of Canadian readers.

1.) Zammuto - Zammuto
2.) The Magnetic Fields - Love at the Bottom of the Sea
3.) Alexis Gideon - Video Musics III: Floating Oceans
4.) Dan Deacon - America
5.) Aaron Freeman - Marvelous Clouds (I am truly surprised by this, but it's true)
6.) Animal Collective - Centipede Hz
7.) Pinback - Information Retrieved
8.) Aimee Mann - Charmer
9.) Doseone - G is for Deep
10.) Trey Anastasio - Traveler

Yep, Dose made the cut and Yoni didn't.

I realized, after like thirty listens, that Marvelous Clouds is a concept album about an identity crisis; about not knowing who you are and wondering if anyone else does, either. I was really annoyed by it at first, but then I realized that it is actually a tremendously brave record.

#4 of the year on my list; it's good. Probably my favorite Deerhoof album of the last 5 years.
