This is my new favorite thread.

My personal opinion of bands thus stated:
The Cure are very good at what they do, but what they do is not the shit.
My Bloody Valentine wants too badly to be the shit to be the shit.
Bowie is the shit.
My Zappa knowledge is shit.
CCR is the shit for about 10 minutes.
Pink Floyd is the shit.
Talking Heads are the shit when Eno is on board.
The Beatles are the fucking shit.
I missed BiCliFri.
LCD is not the shit.
I can't fucking stand Michael Jackson even before his shit.
I'm not very familiar with Prince's music, but his demeanour is the shit.
Pixies are the shit.
Deacon's the shit.
Daft Punk's the shit.
The Clash are the shit.
Skrillex is shit.
Black Flag was the shit for like 6 months.
Frank Sinatra: see My Bloody Valentine.
Lynyrd Skynyrd is not the shit, except for 'Tuesday's Gone'. That song is definitely the shit.
Muse is obviously the shit.
Bassnectar is not the shit.
I need to hear more Tom Waits, but I have a hunch that he is the shit.
Wu-Tang Clan was the shit.
My Morning Jacket is the shit.

We obviously have to appeal to Canadians with this shit. What about Broken Social Scene? I think they are the shit.

I don't like any of the dozen or so R.E.M. songs that I've heard enough to buy (or borrow or steal for that matter) one of their albums. In fact I kind of hate most of them, especially the guitar tones.

The Clash were one of my first favorite bands and will always be the shit.

I'm no R.E.M. die-hard but they're decent. I'll always love that one song though, Losing My Religion, for personal reasons.

The Clash are most definitely the shit as Burrito would say.
