Hells yes. I'm glad these dudes are still getting love. This is like the most underrated one of 'em all. Few things sound better to me in this life than 'Reclamation' on delishiously priced vinyl.

Can anyone who has received their pre-order of Centipede Hz tell me whether it was shipped by USPS or UPS or what?
Posted by badchoices on Sept 4, 2012, 6:51pm
Yeah, I made the assumption that it was going to be in my mail box when I got home. Super bummer!

It's ok Souly. Didn't you hear? It's only a 7.4. Don't even bother.

Warning: offside post, but deal, bros/ladies:

I'm going to Mecca Amoeba Records in LA this coming weekend. What sorts of goodies aren't already on my list that I should immediately fork over my hard-earned greenbacks for? You probably all know me well enough by now. Please provide suggestions that won't already be on my list. My wallet may hate you, but my ears will love love love you.

To really rate the album. Just use this equation:

10 - [Pitchfork score] = [real score]

Wait... that makes that album sound even worse. Whoops.

I may have gone a little crazy at Amoeba this weekend. I picked up the following on vinyl:

The Grid - Crystal Clear: Orb remixes (single)
Delerium - Heaven's Earth: Matt Darey remix (single)
Sub Rosa vs. Shi-ra-nui
Animal Collective - Centipede Hz (ltd edition)
The Decemberists - The King Is Dead
The Residents - Coochie Brake
Billie Holiday - Lady in Satin (reissue)
LCD Soundsystem - s/t

but wait, that's not all, I also picked up the following CDs:

Pendulum - In Silico
M. Ward - A Wasteland Companion
Leftfield & Afrika Bambaataa - Afrika Shox (single)
The Residents - Demons Dance Alone
Feist - Metals
Girl Talk - Night Ripper
Primus - Antipop
Nine Inch Nails - Closer to God
St. Germain - Boulevard
Squarepusher - Hard Normal Daddy
BTO - The Best of BTO
Bassnectar - Vava Voom
Robyn - Body Talk Pt. 1
Brian Eno & John Cale - Wrong Way Up
R.E.M. - Accelerate
Leftfield - Leftism
Massive Attack - 100th Window
Modeselektor - Modeselektion vol.01

It's going to take me a while to listen to all of this...
