Prydz closing out the Sahara against the Chili Peppers would be just about perfect.

Prydz, Kalkbrenner, Pretty Lights, Grimes, Disclosure, Oakenfold and La Roux all on Sunday.....I am going to do ALL THE DRUGS

The Chili Peppers were booked an hour before the lineup was released:

What a giant fuck up

Ugh.

The one thing I can appreciate about weak headliners is that it gives me a chance to fully enjoy a Sahara headliner without feeling guilty about missing some legendary set for a knob twister.

I thought the same thing, but Coachella has done some pretty amazing things with their headliners the past couple years. I feel inclined to watch the headliners for fear of missing something huge. The Arcade Fire balls was on of the coolest things I've seen live.

In reading the article womp posted, it sounds like the Stones pulled out because they won't be ready by April, which is probably the same reason Daft Punk isn't there. I might have to buy a ticket to Chicago this summer, because C3 has to have a huge fucking grin on their face.

No amount of Red Hot Chili Pepper balls could justify me watching the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Outside Lands went bigger than Lollapalooza last year. I am thinking that will be the Summer Festival to check out.

Edit: One thing about that Outside Lands lineup though, most of the headliners aren't artists that many people would have predicted.

I would shit in my pants if I got to see Stagger Lee live. If you don't watch Nick Cave you are doing life wrong.

Let's not that in 2006, Daft Punk, Madonna and Kanye were added about a week before the festival, and the following year it was Prince. There is still hope for a big headliner above Phoenix. Unfortunately they can't pull RHCP off the lineup.

But how awesome would that be?

The only reason I could see them adding adding another big name is to secure big ticket sales for 2014. It's all about selling out the following year with Coachella nowadays, and with this current lineup, that huge instant sellout that occurred last June won't be duplicated this time around.

Anyone do the drive from Phoenix before? Our group is looking at flights and we are trying to avoid LAX at all costs. We have done the trip from LAX the last two years and the drive has topped 4 hours both times. Looks like Phoenix is about three and a half hours away...but I would rather be driving for 4 hours than be stuck on the interstate for 4 hours.

Can you fly into either San Diego or Ontario? I've done both and the drives are about 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours, respectively. I'm ridiculously excited to make the drive up from San Diego again this year. The scenery is beautiful along the way.

what time did you land at LAX last year?

Hmmmm, those are both good ideas. About the same prices as Phoenix or LAX, but the flight times aren't as convenient.
