I'm so fucking excited about this lineup now. Way more so than last year. If Sasquatch grabs the few acts that Coachella didn't, then this will be one of my favorite festival years ever.

Now? What happened in the last 20 hours to make you this stoked? Did I miss a Coheed & Cambria add?

Or spend your old bastard time with Lee Scratch Perry!!!!

You bet your ass I will. He's even older than Rodriguez. Who was it who said a couple pages back that Coachella's target audience is early 20s?

Oh man. It's gonna be some crazy unpredictable amazing shit! I can't wait.

Anyone ever see that recent doc about him, "The Upsetter"? I would highly recommend it. He's fucked in the head these days but if you love music this guy is responsible for shaping an albeit small but lasting part of modern music and production.

Research. Getting over expectations. Appreciating what's on the lineup.

You still need to spend a couple minutes explaining the electronic lineup, since you said it's the best you've ever seen.

EDITED TO ADD: two years ago, I would have never thought I would get to see the Stone Roses open for Blur, or Grinderman and the Bad Seeds in the same weekend. This is beyond ridiculous. If the Rolling Stones actually ended up on the lineup, it would probably be my favorite lineup ever.

I didn't even catch it until I saw Wonk's post...

PAROV. FUCKING. STELAR ?!?!?!?!?!

Honest to god...I am near tears right now.

Because, WONK. Coachella did away with the absurd amounts of wretched cheese from 2012, and brought some seriously talented electronic artists this year.

See: Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, Disclosure, Paul Oakenfold, Jamie XX, Simian Mobile Disco, Booka Shade, Dog Blood, Four Tet, Wolfgang Gartner, TNGHT, Beardyman, Moby, Major Lazer, The 2 Bears, Eric Prydz, Roni Size, Paul Kalkbrenner.

+ many more, I'm sure.

I just noticed the Evens. Pretty cool; I would not expect to see them at a festival.

Is Dog Blood so talented? Skrillex + Boys Noize? I've actually liked some Boys Noize in the past, and I haven't heard anything from Dog Blood, but on paper that seems like a disaster to me, an admittedly electronic amateur.

I see they moved Foals from Saturday to Friday...

I really hope they move a few more names on Friday and Saturday to Sunday. As it stands, Friday and Saturday are going to be ridiculous.

Boys Noize is one of the most talented producers/DJs in the game right now, and aside from DJ skills, Skrillex is actually a damn good producer with a good taste for electronic music. Nevermind the music he makes for the masses. From what I've heard about them and the few videos I've seen, they are far from the derpstep stylings Skrillex and much more on the acid house and electro house side of things. I have a feeling Boys Noize more or less takes the reigns during their shows, so it should be an insanely good time. I expect it to be one of the craziest sets of the weekend.

Here's a recorded track they put out:

and here's a live clip of them:

Kickass, hard hitting stuff, without using cheap drops as a crutch. It's definitely more of a "Boys Noize w/ Skrillex" type project than it is an equal collaboration.

I am not nearly as versed in electronic music as Pea, and I classify electronic music as either the WOMPWOMP or the trancy mellow stuff, but I will say Boys Noize is one of my favorite WOMPWOMPers. It can't be bad.

Hahaha! Amazing how dated that line sounds now.

I did like that Dog Blood track. Could they close the Mainstage?
