You peeps that plan on visiting me in San Diego before / after Coachella, I need to start booking days off... so let's start Dr. Garbanzouring out the details. PM me or e-mail me (PM me if you don't have my e-mail) and let's Dr. Garbanzoure out the optimum time to pick up burritos from Lolitas or Lucha Libre...

(The guest room is fully outfitted and the couch is as comfy as always.)

Megan is working right now. When she gets back into town I'll hit you up once we Dr. Garbanzoure it out.

Do you think some combination of Justin Timberlake/Timbaland + guests would be received as well Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg + guests? Guests could include Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, M.I.A., or Madonna. Purely speculative, of course, but would Coachella attendees enjoy a Timberlake/Timbaland headlining set?

I'll be at another stage if that happens.

It's tough to say. I think that if they were headliners then different types of people would try to get tickets this year. Also, I think most people go to festivals to have fun. And there is no doubt that would at the very least be fun. I would be down.

So a different type of person would attempt to buy the remaining Coachella passes, rather than the usual purchasers who don't care if Timberlake/Timbaland are headlining? Tell us more, because I'm scratching my head with this one.

All I'm saying, Wonk, is that artists on the lineup can determine demographics of ticket/pass purchasers.

What she's saying is that the nature of the crowd can be affected by who's playing.
Posted by Pea on Jan 17, 2013, 11:59pm
The nature of the Coachella crowd will never be affected by the lineups, with the way they are currently running things.

As much as I would like to see a headliner spot filled by someone else I would enjoy the shit out of this.
