Haha god damn HG. When I told my mom the Stones might be playing Coachella, the first thing she said was, "Eh, I was always a Beatles fan."
Touche. |

Nothing super standoutish for me, personally. Although I did read recently that they have been rehearsing "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" in sound checks and WITH FUCKING MICK TAYLOR!!!!!! That would make up for everything! |

| Ugh. Yeah, definitely not the setlist for me. |

"Honky Tonk Woman" (despite more masterful tuning from Kieth) makes me wanna honky tonk barf. |

My ultimate Stones setlist? Well because you asked here's my fantasy, but not out of the realm of reality, set list
1) Rocks Off 2) Sway (greatest rock and roll song ever made post 1963) 3) Beast of Burden 4) Dead Flowers 5) Torn and Frayed 6) Under My Thumb 7) Emotional Rescue 8) No Expectations 9) Can't You Hear Me Knocking 10) Tops 11) Just My Imagination 12) Respectable 13) Ventilator Blues 14) Tumbling Dice 15) Shine a Light 16) Gimme Shelter
Encore
17) Sympathy For the Devil 18) Soul Survivors (Kieth on lead vocals) 19) You Can't Always Get What You Want 20) Jumpin' Jack Flash
These are not necessarily my all time favorite Stones songs, just one's they've done live before.
EDIT: Oh, and all of it done with Mick Taylor. |

More like that old MTV2 commercial where those two British dudes were discussing Blur and Oasis. I can't find the clip, but that's what I always think of.
Tarantino was uncharacteristically off base in that scene. There aren't many connections to be drawn between Elvis and the Beatles that don't involve the public reaction to their personalities, and anyway there's a solid generation gap between their fans. |

| The Beatles were pretty heavily influenced by Elvis, especially John. |

| Hey, now. I don't think the lyrical content of a band's songs has any relevance to a fan finding meaning in them. You may not like them but its not like there aren't some gems. I wouldn't pass up seeing any legend who's music resonates with me somewhere. And trust me, I have passed up "legends" because pretending to enjoy what I was hearing just because they were so and so would be lame and sorta fraudulent. I just anticipate that The Stones will put on a good show and a lot of kids who heard to songs growing up will be able to have a musical connection with their parents (or whoever) based in live performance. It will be the jam for most people to phone their pops and flip over Brown Sugar (or whatever). |

| Brown Sugar is hella racist. |

| Everything about the Rolling Stones is racist. |
