Has Coachella outgrown Bjork?? Maybe. Probably not but maybe. No matter what I'm going to see her next year.

Never, never, never, never. Don't you spew this blasphemy in my first ever thread.

I donno, I guess I can't see Bjork at a festival like Coachella...She's not headlining and I don't think she would come if she wasn't. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

This.

I get that she was at Coachella 6 years ago, but a lot has happened during those 6 years - Good and/or bad.

To most music nerds her relevance is about the same now as it was in 2007, but to the average festival attendee in 2013? Her name and reputation doesn't hold much weight anymore. If she headlines Coachella next year, there will be a lot of blank faces in the crowd.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see her there - but as Womp said, it just doesn't make much sense.

This just makes me feel like Sasquatch is even more likely. Adam Snacks has a huge boner for Bjork and if he's booking Mumford and Sons as a headliner, that'll take care of the 'relevant in 2013' factor (read: gets radio play) and hopefully he'll throw us music nerds a bone with Bjork.

This music nerd needs a substantially larger bone than Bjork.

Black Sabbath announced a tour date in New Zealand on April 20th. Glad we can rule them out.

There's a relief.

A little off topic, but did you notice Tool is playing with Sabbath at Ozzfest Japan in May? I suppose it is possible they could tour with Sabbath, but I doubt it. They could sell more tickets than Sabbath at this point. It just gets me kind of excited to see that Tool is playing around that time at all.

Edit: I could see Tool doing more Ozzfest's though.

Fox and I were discussing the rumors about a new Tool album coming out on December 21st as well. I heard somewhere that MJK recently said that they wouldn't be playing any more shows until they release new music, so if that's true then it would definitely make sense since they're booked for that Ozzfest date.

A new Tool album on December 21st? Is this real life?

Sometimes I feel like Tool makes artistic decisions based on what they think a Tool fan in high school would do.

Maynard: Hey... Hey, guys... We should totally put an album out on the day the Mayan calendar expires.

Danny: Dude! DUDE! That would be so dope!

Maynard: And we should, like, write a song which totally represents the mathematical perfection of the Pythagorean theorem!

Adam: Do you think we should get Alex Grey to do the artwork?

Justin: Huh huh huh huh dude you have to go sit in the Obvious Corner and wear the Obvious Hat.

(Adam goes to Obvious Corner and puts on Obvious Hat)

Justin: Dudes, Adam is right. We should totally get Alex Grey to do the artwork.
