Don't you remember when Arcade Fire won a grammy?

The Eraser is boring. Everything I've heard from Atoms for Peace is also boring. Also Atoms for Peace is a stupid-ass name.

I agree with most of that. I don't get as hung up on names as you do though, so I don't really care about that aspect of them either way. I would probably take the opportunity to go check out a much less crowded stage during their set, to be honest. I remember getting really excited for One Day as a Lion last year because I had never seen ZdlR live, and then thinking to myself, "Oh yea, this isn't Rage. This actually kind of sucks."

I'd go see Atoms for Peace at a festival, don't get me wrong. I'd watch Flea in pretty much any capacity, and Thom Yorke is still one of the greatest performers alive. I'd be holding my breath for 'Morning Bell' the whole time, though, and my verdict would inevitably be 'Eh, that was alright.'

I sure do get hung up on crappy names, though. Nothing to do about that.

Atoms for Peace were great the first time they played Coachella as ????. They used the original Radiohead light show. Flea is boss on the bass.

Has anyone made travel arrangements for Coachella? If so, when/where are you flying/driving in? Also, who has camping?

There was a big discussion about this when the pre-sale happened, but i'm not sure of all the details any longer. The first post on here is a bit devoid of details.

All I know is:
1. Shax has my ticket, and is going to deliver it in person
2. Pea and Mrlahey are flying to SD
3. The three of us are driving up and camping together, I would assume arriving Thursday.

If we're going to attempt a wal-mart meet up / camping coordination, Thursday afternoon is probably the best time.

I only vaguely remember the conversation. I didn't buy a camping pass because I was going to jump in with someone else...but I have no idea who. Nater and Shax?

Shax has one or more camping passes... not sure...

I will be driving and I have a camping pass.

SOULY!

If you have questions re: the drive let me know. I know a few good/cheap places to stop en route.

Plus, I know where there are good burritos in SoCal. Although I suppose it's not much of a secret...

I will be riding with Souly if the lineup is sweeter than Bonnaroo's. Am I allowed to claim a seat so vaguely?
Posted by NO LOVE DEEP BJORRITO on Nov 18, 2012, 11:09pm
And you better believe we want that inside burrito information.
Posted by J-Dawg on Nov 18, 2012, 11:22pm
Burritos in San Diego are generally better than those in the Desert / Coachella Valley. Depending on the timing I can pick some up in SD as we depart and distribute them when we arrive.

A heroic act such as that would instantly catapult you to Geno's level of awesome.
