It's pretty shitty timing for something like this. Right before Christmas. Not a lot of time to plan/save. Flights will be crazy expensive to get to Florida for that time of year. If it was in January I would possibly consider going.

I agree. They should have waited a bit and/or announced the cruise right after the festival so people could prepare for December. Kinda a bummer. I don't know how many people are going to want to get their ass to FL, either...I don't feel like this is going to end up being that successful but I also thought I was going to score a Weekend 1 ticket last year so what the hell to I know about Goldenvoice's fuckin' promoting skills.

Considering that ship probably holds 3000 people at most, I'm certain they'll have no problem selling it out, but it is at a really shitty time in the year. Holidays aside, winter is when I start pulling my funds together and begin booking flights and making other festivals plans for the Spring. I couldn't even imagine doing something like this during that time of year.

Coachella has reached Coyneian levels of LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME.

Hmm... Consider me intrigued. ;)

I was going to use the same joke. Douchebag minds think alike.

I'm amazed anyone has anything negative to say about this. This sounds fucking rad. You know the artists are on the cruise too, right? It's not like they all have a private helicopter fly them in and out just for their set. You know Coachella appeals to rich movies stars, right? That entire cruise would be hanging with some of the richest most beautiful music fans in the country and the artists themselves, and no fifteen year old fucks tripping balls begging for drugs.

My only negative is the cost, and that's really more of my own issue of being broke than anything. If I had the money I'd totally go to this.

Why anyone thinks it's a negative having it the week before Christmas holidays is beyond me. That's when flights, hotels etc. are cheaper since peak travel is during the holiday period. And if it were in January it would cost more too since that's when most people take their post-holidays holiday.

No one eats at festivals. But people eat at Coachella. You'd be idiot not to sample Coachella's in venue eats.

While following Tokimonsta around the boat begging her to be my first lesbian experience would be fun, I am really doubtful that many other 'celebs' will be on the cruise.

Flights the week of the cruise start at $517 from Seattle. Flights the week of Christmas start at $570. I wouldn't call that mega savings.
