Totally down for coachella 2013, weekend 1. Debating Lake Eldorado vs. Camping vs. Staying with friends in Palm Springs. I'd bet there's an above even chance I'll be camping or Lake Eldorado'ing.

I'll be driving in 2013, may pick up a Calgary-based friend at PSP en route, in which case you bet your ass we're camping.

Frankly, that would make my future Coachella exponentially better. Especially, if I woke up and saw this every morning waving in the sky:

Haha, well, that would be one way to get laid I suppose. I don't even own one of those, or any other variety of pride flag.

I'm in for next year, weekend 1.

I think I'm in for a similar year as womp though, next year looks like it'll be Coachella 2013 and Glastonbury 2013 but no Sasquatch.

How much are plane tickets to Coachella from Portland usually?

I managed to get $450 ish round trip from Calgary to LAX, so I would guess you can get them a bit cheaper. PSP and Ontario are way better options than LAX, but they will cost more those weekends due to demand. Calgary to PSP was $1200+ for the same days as my flight to LAX.

If you fly Allegiant air from Bellingham, it's like $88 one way to Palm Springs. That's on the Wednesday though. My friend did that this year and then we all crashed at a hotel real cheap for the one night. If you can come down that one day early, everything is cheaper since the demand doesn't really start til the next day.

Seattle to Ontario was $230 round trip for me, and I believe flying out of Portland is usually cheaper than Seattle.

EDIT: A quick check of a Thursday-Monday round trip on Southwest from PDX to ONT in June was $184. I would imagine it would be somewhere around that during April as well. Maybe less.
