We met one of the Coachella board regulars by chance at the James Murphy show last month. Luckily it was one of the regulars that doesn't seem like a complete asshat. He was super nice actually.

My girlfriend met his group of people before we got there and happened to mention we knew eachother through message boards, and he sheepishly admitted he was the dude on the Coachella boards with something like 26000 posts.
Oh, that's cool. I don't know why all the music boards don't just get some sort of boargy (board orgy) going on since we overlap all the time anyway and at the very least have a common interest in music. It sounds like everyone that Sasquatch boarders have met from the Coachella board have been nice. I think Souly met an admin last year and said he was awesome, too.
Well the one we met is easily the nicest of the regulars on that board, and one of the only ones I ever had even a cursory interest in meeting. Most of 'em act like complete assholes all day every day. At least here we're only like... 35% assholes.
Yeah, I guess I have never really wanted to meet anyone from that board based on their posts. But I would guess most people feel the same about me. I think it is strange however that the internet makes things all funky and when you meet people in person you are like...I like you. HG is the perfect example. No one would know that the grandma with the horn is the biggest cuddlebug in a huggy rug.
I hate myself everytime I go over to the Coachella message board. That place is the worst.
I think a lot of the regulars over there are entertaining. It's impossible to avoid trollism when you have so many internetards posting everything that comes to their mind twice per hour. This is the bad time of year over there, ten times worse than the bad time here, which is two weeks away.
You prefer everyone keep it civil and get along, I prefer people make intelligent contributions to a thread while typing coherently. We both have hates. You hate what you would consider "trolls," and I hate what I would consider, "idiots."

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. It's almost like they're trying to hide the fact that they don't have everyone signed yet. We don't even have a date yet, let alone the lineup. At this rate, we'll know who's playing Sasquatch before we know who's playing Coachella.
My guess is that goldenvoice took a look at some of the threads over at the coachella forums and decided that it isn't worth throwing a party for those types of people...
