Having spent the majority of last night listening to Pinback's new release I would like it instantly added to my list. Hell, I should ahve had it added before it even leaked, as I'm a sucker for some PINBACK!!!

the name of the album is irrelevant.

Frank Ocean - Channel Orange
Flying Lotus - Until The Quiet Comes
Dwight Yoakam - 3 Pears
Trash Talk - 119
Purity Ring - Shrines
AbdeCaf - Rebuild
Tennis - Young and Old
Marijuana Deathsquads - Tamper, Disable, Destroy

I got it, Pea.

I should probably put mine up here eh?

Diablo Swing Orchestra - Pandora's Pinata (Best album of 2012. If you haven't listened to it you're a bad person and you should feel bad.)
Animal Collective - Centipede Hz (Just like every Animal Collective record, it gets better and better with each listen. GOD I LOVE IT)
Between the Buried and Me - The Parallax II: Future Sequence (First prog metal album I've liked in a long time. Mind blowing)
Grizzly Bear - Shields (It's fucking Grizzly Bear. Nuff said)
Leonard Cohen - Old Ideas (lol the title is funny because he's old)
Hot Chip - In Our Heads (GODDAMN IS THIS ALBUM FUN)
Melvins - Freak Puke (A pretty weak album by Melvins standards, but it's grown on me. Plus, Trevor Dunn slappin da bass)

You'll be there November 11th I assume? Dude is nearly 80, and put on one of the greatest shows I've seen. If anyone has a chance to see his upcoming tour, go.

I REALLY want to, but I'm broke right now. Haven't been working much lately. At this point I'm planning on just going to the box office the day of the show if I have enough money, and getting whatever seat I can get.

I spent half the show watching the monitors, so the cheap seats aren't the worst place to be. I'm sure people know the story better than I, but apparently he had no interest in making music anymore (in the 90s), and became a monk, and no one ever thought they'd get a chance to see him perform again. Then his accountant gradually stole all of his retirement income, and he makes a surprising comeback with the "I'm Broke Ya'll" tour of 2009/2010/2011.

I can't tell if the new tour cheapens the first because he's still broke, or validates it because he remembered how much he likes performing. Either way, he's fucking old, and he's left the game before, so this might be everyone's last chance.

No way is that a real thing. You doin' that thing that me and Friendly D do where we just make shit up and then congratulate each other for knowing what it is. There can't possibly be a band called that, it's just too awesome.

100% real. My friends and I lost our shit when we first heard about them back in high school. We even had a spinoff joke band called The Fuzzy Bear Jazz Time Trio.

Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, Maad City

If you remotely like hip hop and think Boyz in the Hood is a good movie, you should probably check out Kendrick's new album. It's really great.

I dig Kendrick Lamar, I'll have to check that out. I didn't even know he had anything due out.
