Eric Gilbert, singer for Boise-area band Finn Riggins, is creating a festival in Boise, tailored for bands headed in a northwesterly direction after SXSW. The festival is slated for March 22nd-25th, 2012.

The first round of the lineup looks a little promising:
of Montreal Built to Spill Why? Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside Monster Rally and Rumtum
They're releasing the next round of artists on Monday, December 19th.

delicate steve are pretty cool but I only saw them live so no idea of albums worth checking out I've heard a few pictureplane songs that are pretty great as well
Cave Singers and Maldives are seattle institutions but I think both are pretty boring |

| Thanks for the info. It's nice that someone has stepped up to show others that Boise can be a viable tour stop from Seattle/Portland to Salt Lake and vice-versa. Often times, bands stay here on their off-day or just see it as another place to fill up on gas. |
