| I don't really know what I was saying there. Thursday night is drinking night for me so just disregard everything. |

Like we need your help with killing the traditional record sleeve, assholes. |

That's a really interesting observation. I didn't even notice that but now that you pointed it out I can't help but agree. |

| They said Washed Outs albums was best new music and I have yet to see any other site agree. It still didn't make top 50. It was a decent album but top new music? ehh... Another observation is the lack of Active Child anywhere. This was a great damn album. |

| They didn't score Active Child into the 8's so there shouldn't be any surprise with that one. |

| Just bitching about it in general, Pea. That album got me through testing. |

Fixed.
I liked the Destroyer album a lot and I was surprised it was #2 on pitchhfork's list.
1) Streethawk: A Seduction 2) City of Daughters 3) Destroyer's Rubies 4) Kaputt 5) Thief 6) Your Blues 7) This Night 8) Trouble in Dreams |

I think i agree with this although the gap between 1 and 2 is fairly significant |

Alright so I'm going to throw it out there, whats with the lack of Gaga on all these lists? Is it not hip to like her anymore? She made a great fuckin pop record this year.
And who the hell is Real Estate? Does anyone like them? I had honestly never heard of them until they started showing up at the top of all these lists. Gave them a couple listens and they are awful.
ugh, music critics are the WORST |

Real Estate blows goats. Gaga rules.
Problem? |

That looks a lot like a peacoat. I'd be wary Pea! |

| I agree, Real Estate is the most boring shit |
| Posted by kymess_jr on Dec 17, 2011, 3:30pm |
| Since Real Estate has been showing up on so many lists, I thought I should give them a try too. I don't hate it but they definitely seem to be the most underwhelming "best" album I've listened to so far. |

| Real Estate's in my top ten of the year. At first I just found it pleasant but the more I listened to it the more I heard new things. Their first album is pretty boring but this one is full of great hooks and stellar guitar work. It's the perfect lazy sunday album |

I like popmatters a lot for the most part, but I'm ambivalent about this list. Maybe I'm just bored of seeing the same names over and over. |
