Not too early at all!

Can't wait for Guided by Voices Let's Go Eat the Factory to drop in January. That signals the start of a great year.

WOO for GBV!

As for Built to Spill, I'm going to go into that with no expectations whatsoever, then hopefully I can be surprised. There Is No Enemy definitely had some pretty nice moments, but you gotta admit it was rather depressing if you listened to it right after a There's Nothing Wrong with Love or a Perfect from Now On.

I had this conversation with a friend last night. BTS's classic albums are behind them, obviously, but they still write Built to Spill songs and put out records that sound distinctly like themselves. There are still an abundance of beautiful moments on There Is No Enemy and You In Reverse.

I count 'The Wait', 'Liar', 'Hindsight' and 'Life's a Dream' among my most very favorite Built to Spill songs.

Hey, anyone know any word on a new animal collective album? Its pretty much a lock that they'll put out a new album next year, right?

You can bet that if there were any news to be found about it at all, it would have been all over the place. And cbats would have mentioned it.

The Big Pink's sophomore album "Future This" is dropping in January. Their first album was sort of hit or miss, but those hits were really awesome. I'm really looking forward to hearing some new material from them.

I could ask Gunther to help me with averaging the scores of as many AC records as Pitchfork have reviewed and tell you exactly how much you like Animal Collective.

They're probably the most overrated band on Pitchfork
