I don't know if I've ever brought this up, but I've only truly enjoyed 5 hip-hop shows in my life, and the most enjoyable one of those was Big Boi. Dude throws it down.

Word. Sir Lucious Left Foot is one of my favorite albums of the last 10 years.

Did you catch him on that tour? Shit was insanity.

You sir, have the weirdest and best taste in music on this board. I have no fucking clue who Kowloon Walled City is (much like every other band you've ever mentioned, ever), but your post reminded me that I've been meaning to check out that Indian Handcraft band for a while now, and HOLY SHIT. Just listened to Bruce Lee and it kicked my ass all the way into next week. THIS is what I feel Mastodon is trying to evolve into but is sort of failing at pulling off. I need to get this album immediately.

YES! this makes my heart smile. I feel that album needs some love and I am glad that you enjoyed Bruce Lee. A song with that title has to kick ass and it didn't disappoint!

This new How to Destroy Angels EP is pretty cool. Kind of NIN by way of Massive Attack/Portishead. Good shit, Trent.

Oh, I wanna hear that! I respect the hell out of Trent Reznor, and I fucking love Pretty Hate Machine, but I could honestly never sit all the way through any other NIN record (and I have all of them). Just a little too much brain-pummeling for your dear old Horned Gramma. Dude needs to take a xanax and slow it the fuck down sometimes.

I'm actually now hoping that the NIN album/tour rumors are either false or a long way off in the future, because I would fucking love to see this HtDA stuff live.

Oh, and here you go sir:

Oh damn -- this is really, really good. Much more my cup of tea than NIN. Glad to see him trying different things; I really feel like NIN's legacy/fan base had the dude pigeonholed for a long time.

I was always fascinated by the first two NIN records; Reznor is a recovering Mormon, and that's mostly what Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral are about.

This new Scott Walker album is pretty awesome. It's similarly avant-garde, but a little more industrial and a little more palatable, than his previous two releases.
