| Mumford & Sons is a stupid band name. |

Ya I would have to second Geno. Most of the comments on those sites are from people who I wouldn't take music advice from. Also there are people who porpoisely troll those type of comments.
Having said that, although I am no fan of Mumford and Son, they definitely don't irritate me the way they do some other people. |

| Music advice? Don't know any better? I'm sorry, but to use HG's favorite word, that is elitist as fuck and really bothers me. To tell someone that the enjoyment they get from music they really love is somehow inferior to the enjoyment you get from music you love really makes me think there is something wrong with you, and defeats the entire reason our species creates and listens to music. |

What are you even talking about? I have no problem with people liking whatever they want. My point was that taking advice from a bunch of people that just bought an album is generally not an objective assessment of whether it is any good. Of course they are gushing, they just paid for it so I'd hope they'd like it.
The best way to find if you like something isn't via a comments section, or a critics review. It is to give it a listen, that's why I love streaming so much. |

| My mistake. I thought you were implying that you wouldn't take music advice from those people in general, which is quite certain where I believe Geno was going with his post. |

| No worries, I just didn't want you to get the wrong idea. As a rule of thumb I listen to everything once, and form my own opinions...like I said about Mumford, I've listened--it didn't hurt my ears, but it was a little to vanilla for me personally. |

I absolutely agree, and again I apologize for my misunderstanding. I just find it strange that certain people within a community that generally promote openness and acceptance will immediately file someone into a lower category because of their choices in music...of all things. Geno, I'm not trying to call you out specifically, because I know you're an awesome dude, but I just think statements like "because they don't know any better" is kind of lame. If I knew any better about food, I probably wouldn't be settling for this Lean Pocket I'm about to scarf down for lunch, but I guess I don't, and it's going to make me super happy, and I doubt my coworkers will give me shit for it |

| I didn't realize I got filed into a lower category for liking Arcade Fire. I thought ya'llz were joking. |

Wait wait wait.
Just what in THE fuck is wrong with Hot Pockets? |

| And fuck Mumford and Sons lol |

I wonder if there's one band that we can all agree on as being the shit. I don't think there is, but I'm willing to test the theory.
First guess: LCD Soundsystem. Who doesn't think they're the shit? |

I'd say Burrito may agree with you there, but between you and me, I saw him dancing to LCD at HG and Stormy's house |
