Haha yea, I realized it didn't come out right after I typed it.

That is the coolest thing. That must have taken a ton of courage.

Holy smokes! The singer of Against Me came out as transgender and is making the change to become a woman. That's some interesting shit right there.

Sorry, my sweet Pea. You don't become transgender. :) Anyway, I'm excited for him. I love Against Me! and I am happy that he feels he is personally and professionally ready to commit to living his life authentically. That's really very punk rock, isn't it? :D

1. My bad.
2. Don't call me sweet Pea ever again.
3. You stole that "punk rock" quote from the Coachella board.

1. Calm down.
2. Calm down.
3. I haven't read the Coachella board in over a week.

Why don't you two PM each other. There's obviously something non-board related going on, and it is annoying as fuck to read.

I just got an email from Domino:

Animal Collective are back with a new 7inch single titled 'Honeycomb / Gotham' featuring two brand new songs.

You can download them now but you can also preorder a 7" from their site for it which comes with the mp3 download. I did that. I haven't listened to them yet because I cannot properly do that from work.

Honeycomb I know as one of the Avey screamers from the Pitchfork set.

Soooo... fuck yeah.
Posted by LumpSquatch on May 9, 2012, 2:33pm
Hell yes. If it's the one I think it is, I love it.
Posted by DREW OF THE RUSHES on May 9, 2012, 3:20pm
Yeah those songs are both streaming online. They're really good.
Posted by NO LOVE DEEP BJORRITO on May 10, 2012, 7:43am
Really fucking good.

It's funny because I keep thinking AC has peaked critically for the last three albums, and yet each time the new album is regarded as their best work yet. I'm inclined to think (regardless of what it's actually like) this one won't be considered as good as MPP, but they'll probably prove me wrong again and the internet will blow up when it's released.

As far as the quality of the new album itself, there's no doubt in my mind that it will be as brilliant and difficult to compare against their other work as every album they've made.

^Agreed.

Poor Bjorrito and her vocal cord nodule. Get well soon. I never thought I'd be saying this, but it's a good thing she wasn't on the Sasquatch lineup, because news of her cancelling two weeks before the fest would fucking destroy me.
