FUCK. Now that's a sad loss. At least they managed to get their last album out, and it was a good way for them to go.

RIP.

That really is terrible news.

Damn. I've been over the Beasties for half my life, but still: respect.

Whoa. Wasn't expecting to shed tears this morning! So sad. RIP, MCA.

Yet another musical genius gone way too soon. There goes my hopes of ever seeing them live. I started going to Sasquatch one year too late :(

I went one year too early. Le sigh.

RIP you magnificent bastard.

I thought this was pretty cool.

A lot of people were shitting on it because it's Coldplay or because the Beasties stopped playing that song years ago, but I thought it was awesome of them to take a few minutes out of their set to pay tribute. It wasn't a terrible cover either, and nearly made me shed a tear.

I thought that was awesome and I can't stand Coldplay. As much as I dislike their music, Chris Martin and they guys have always seemed like pretty cool dudes. That was a very nice tribute.

Holy smokes! The singer of Against Me came out as, and is making the change to become a transgender. That's some interesting shit right there.

Beat me to it!

I must say, I fucking love his voice, and will miss it dearly if the hormones make it sound silly :(

EDIT: Ugh. That might have came out wrong. I'm not implying that transgenders have silly voices. I just wonder if he'll keep performing with the band, and if having a new voice will work or not with their music.

I think it's a small price we can all pay to let a person be who they are meant to be.

(not implying you're saying otherwise, Pea)
