I've rarely used the delete button. I did make a late night drunk post once that souly totally called me out on after I deleted it, and after that I've been a bit more careful about drunk posting.

I just happen to get up for work at the same time all of you party-goers are going to bed. I did enjoy that post though. You should probably drunk post more.

Also, if you really don't want your post to be seen you can just edit it to say something different, or nothing.

Disclaimer:

I was 12 at the start of this decade. At this point I was a skater kid, listened mostly to skater kid music and whatever was on the radio. Then I listened to a bunch of the classics for a few years then got into more current music. So I will have missed a whole bunch of music you all find obvious.

I tried to do a list from my head, but only came up with 32 albums I thought should be on the list. I picked my top 10 from these since if I couldnt think of it then it didnt make a big enough impact on me to make the top 10. The rest I had to look through ichunes and other lists to get. I also made this in about an hour, so I probably forgot some stuff.

#1 Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica
#2 The Strokes - Is This It? (It took me ages to decide what should be #2)
#3 Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not
#4 Arcade Fire - Funeral
#5 Bad Religion - The Process of Belief
#6 LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver
#7 Kanye West - College Dropout
#8 The Postal Service - Give Up
#9 Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out
#10 Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
#11 Gorillaz - Demon Days
#12 The White Stripes - Icky Thump
#13 LCD Soundsystem - This is Happening
#14 The Killers - Hot Fuss
#15 Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
#16 The Strokes - Room on Fire
#17 Radiohead - In Rainbows
#18 Black Mountain - In the Future
#19 Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
#20 Arkells - Jackson Square
#21 TV on the Radio – Return to Cookie Mountain
#22 Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People
#23 Metric - Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?
#24 Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
#25 Radiohead - Kid A
#26 Daft Punk - Discovery
#27 Massive Attack - Heligoland
#28 Metric - Grow Up and Blow Away
#29 Lily Allen - Alright, Still
#30 Kanye West - Graduation
#31 Wolfmother - Wolfmother
#32 Beck - Guero
#33 The White Stripes - White Blood Cells
#34 M83 - Saturdays = Youth
#35 Major Lazer - Guns Dont Kill People, Lazers Do!
#36 Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place
#37 Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever to Tell
#38 Jay Z - The Black Album
#39 Fiest - Let it Die
#40 Dropkick Murphys - Blackout
#41 Lupe Fiasco - The Cool
#42 Wolf Parade - At Mount Zoomer
#43 Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters
#44 The National - Boxer
#45 Girl Talk - Night Ripper
#46 Chromeo - Fancy Footwork
#47 Fuck Buttons – Street Horsing
#48 Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
#49 Wintersleep - Welcome to the Night Sky
#50 Stars - Set Yourself on Fire

OK now I see why no one put all 50 in order. I ended up having to guess where a few albums went as a starting point, then use it as a guage for others. Once I finished I realized that X album was better than Y album. This went on for about 10 minutes till I said fuck it.

Shit! I totally forgot about the Postal Service album. I need to stuff that into my list somehow. Love seeing Blackout on your list too, davers. My copy of that CD is practically destroyed from so much listening during high school.

I wanted to put The Gangs All Here on there to, but alas, 1999.

Still one of my favourite acts to see live, even if their show is pretty much the same every time.

I like that you put this on here, and so high up. Sometimes I think I'm one of the only people that really really liked this album.

I think I'm gonna wuss out and just post my list in alphabetical order. It's far too stressful trying to order the damn thing.

I think a non-ordered list is a-okay.

A) You think you're one of the only people that really really liked that album? You should meet more people. I think it's generally regarded as being in the canon by most folks, in spite of the fact that HG is ambivalent towards it.

B) I think it's funny that people stress out over ordering their lists, as if someone's going to hold them to it someday, or report their preferences to the bands. "The Strokes are pissed at me!"

C) Though all these comments sound critical of you, kymess, I'm just twisting arms - no hate intended. And I'd love to see your list, ordered or not.

A) I just find most people will talk about how brilliant Funeral is and The Suburbs is getting all this great praise and the Grammy but, more often than not, I'll put Neon Bible on over the other two. But yeah, you're right, I do need to meet more people who like the kind of music I like. Most of my IRL friends had no idea who Arcade Fire were before a few months ago, let alone me being able to discuss which album of theirs I prefer.

B) The stress is totally all self-directed. I just can't pick one album over another. It's like trying to pick a favorite kid; I might like one a little more than the other at times but at the end of the day I love them all the same. Plus, I wanna post the list like today or tomorrow and if I were to wait until I ordered it, it could take months with the amount of times I change my mind.

Drew you're nuts. Neon Bible has never been generally regarded in that way.

I know what your talking about probably less than half of the time. I can't tell if it's because you're much smarter than me, or if I missed something.

Definitely both for me.
